Dear Marion,
You were so very special to the Taylor family. Our families’ connection goes back many years, to when my Dad, Norman brought you and Alan to the Netherlands after convincing Alan to work for Philips — the start of a lifelong friendship.
I have such fond memories of visiting you, especially our shopping trips together and, of course, buying Dutch liquorice. My own children were very fond of you too, and you were a huge comfort to me during the loss of my own mother and brother. I will always be grateful for your kindness and warmth.
Rest in peace, Marion. You will be deeply missed.

I have known Marion since I was four years old — a lifetime of friendship. Our families were very close, and even after I moved back to the UK, we always made time to meet for lunch in Richmond whenever she visited. I last saw her in 2017, when I returned for my 50th school reunion. I will deeply miss our conversations and our WhatsApp chats. Love Sallyann
